Shauna Drayson Definitely a "people person", Shauna joins our team as our new Sales Manager. With a degree in Music Therapy from UBC, Shauna spent 14 years practicing this specialized therapy in Private Practice in Vancouver and then Toronto. Helping surviving siblings of cancer patients, abused pre-schoolers, battered women, street-rescues, war-veterans with dimensia/alzheimers, and neo-natals, she used music as a therapeutical device, allowing her patients a non-verbal and non-threatening form of communication. After taking some time off to be with her four children, she rejoined the Office Population, spending 5 years working for an Australia-based Nutricuetical company. Diversly talented, Shauna is also a talented singer & musician. She plays guitar, french horn, flute, piano, bodhran (an Irish frame drum) and voice. She currently works regularly for Grant Avenue Studios in Hamilton, Ontario as a session backup singer. She also sings with a band out of Toronto called The Barflies.
Judy Brunet Judy heard about Green Valley through a friend and came on board to provide marketing and administrative support. She has a growing interest in aromatherapy and the uses of essential oils and enjoys listening to the knowledge shared by the on-staff aromatherapists. Her background is in marketing and promotion and she appreciates working in an environment where she is learning new things at the same time that she is applying what she already knows. Since working at Green Valley, she says that her home has started to look like a small retail shop of Green Valley products, and choosing a blend for the diffuser goes right along with choosing which CD to listen to. Patti Tillapaugh Green Valley would like to welcome new staff member Patti Tillapaugh to the Green Valley Team. Patti is our new bookkeeper, keeping track of our transactions and making sure everything of a financial nature runs smoothly. She is also new to the Comox Valley, coming to us from Quadra Island which is a small gulf island off the east coast of Vancouver Island. Patti has just purchased a new home and is a do-it-yourselfer looking forward to renovating and redesigning her new home. Even her dog is a designer dog - Cooper, a Labradoodle, who is a cross between a Labrador and a Poodle. Patti has always been an advocate of natural healing so working at Green Valley and learning more about essential oils was of interest to her. Her favourite products are the Scents and Sensuality blend and the Teaser Body Butter. We are pleased to have her as part of our team!
Melissa Camp Melissa has lived in the Comox Valley since 2004 and has been an exuberant part of our Green Valley staff since September of 2007. Melissa is currently a student with the West Coast Institute of Aromatherapy and is also studying reflexology with the International Institute of Reflexology. Her interest in aromatherapy began as a teenager when her friend’s mother who was a naturopath introduced her to the world of essential oils. Since then she has come to appreciate the therapeutic value in essential oils and their potential for healing. Melissa enjoys finding creative ways to use essential oils in her day-to-day life, especially for indoor cleaning products. In her words, “Using essential oils is a way for me to naturally care for the people I care about.” Melissa loves the outdoors, (particularly when it involves water), hockey, and enjoys taking her husband Ryan and rescued dog Digger for long walks. Her favourite aromatherapy products are Emu oil, the essential oil Bergamot and the Green Valley blend Scents and Sensuality. We are pleased to have her as part of our team!
