DescriptionCardamom is a plant. The seeds are steam distilled or CO2 extracted to produce a clear essential oil. Some of its countries of origin are Guatemala and India. Cardamom has long been used to help stimulate the digestion. The ancient Egyptians loved its' spicy, sweet scent and used it for incense and as a perfume! It is great used in the bath to help refresh and invigorate the body as well as the spirit. Cardamom also has a reputation as an aphrodisiac! The main constituents of this essential oil are terpinyl acetate, cineol, lininene, sabinene, linalool, linalyl acetate, pinene and zingberene. This oil may also help with coughs, nausea, headaches and mental fatigue. Cardamom blends well with Coriander, Juniper berry, Lemon and Myrtle.
