Quality and Purity

Essential oils are a commodity in the world. Very little of what is produced is used in aromatherapy - most of it is used in perfumery and cosmetics. Because of the ebbs and flows of demand, the production of the oils can vary, as can the prices and quality. Like buying wine, you get what you pay for. It is not possible to buy top quality oils at cheap prices. Remember: if the oils are cheap they may be adulterated or be poor runs. We know there are much cheaper oils on the market but the consumer takes a risk that these oils are adulterated with man-made chemicals and/or other essential oils. Poor quality oils can produce none of the desired effects and can even cause harm (skin rashes, burns, etc.).

To this end, we at Green Valley have endeavored to source out the best quality, therapeutic grade, un-adulterated oils that we can find. We have visited several of the farms on which the plants are grown and distilled and we have strong relationships with our other suppliers. It is our dream to one day visit every farm from where we get our oils. If you have any questions about our oils, our product expert will be happy to help you.
